About Us

Janice Mallette

I love my job and I enjoy helping people see and look their very best. I have been servicing the Sudbury Area as a Licenced Optician for the past 22 years. I have had the privilege of working as a Managing Optician at various locations Sears Optical, Precision Optical and Lenscrafters. I have had an interesting career from training opticians to working on national buying committees. My ultimate dream has always been to work with patients directly in my own optical store which I opened October of 2011.

I am very passionate and devoted to offering the best quality products and personal service in the industry.

I enjoy searching out unique high fashion frames. I do a great deal of purchasing form European Manufactures. I specialize in contact lens fitting and custom fitting your eyewear to your unique self and visual needs. Eyeglasses are a very personal accessory to your image I take that very seriously I want to find the perfect frame to suit your face.

Dr. Karen Wilson

Karen Wilson, originally from Levack, graduated from the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry in 1980.

Karen spent 27 years practicing Optometry in downtown Toronto. Her practice was a full scope one with a special interest in complex contact lens designs. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages and strongly advises regular eye exams, sunglasses for all outdoors activities and a good healthy diet. Coming home to the Sudbury basin in 2008 was a decision which has benefitted her entire family.

Dr. Wilson has twins, Amy and Tommy and lives with her husband, Doug Adair, a Vale Senior Engineer, in New Sudbury. She spends much of her spare time volunteering for Easter Seals here in Sudbury since her daughter, Amy, has cerebral palsy and has benefited tremendously from the help of Easter Seals.

"I am very fortunate to have chosen a profession which I still love over 30 years later!"
